|
"As a water-based clean technology company focused on providing safe, natural, and environmentally friendly pathogen-control solutions for the medical and food industries, we feel it's important to walk the walk when it comes to our day-to-day business. Our internal green efforts include reductions in our power consumption, minimizing packaging, recycling in all facilities, reducing waste, and using recycled paper from WB Mason for all our printing needs."

WB Mason is empowering offices to be greener than ever. And while other office suppliers are only beginning to utilize environmentally friendly policies, WB Mason is building upon a long-standing foundation of green office products and environmentally friendly solutions. WB currently offers a catalog, printed with soy-based inks on 30 percent recycled paper, of exclusively green office products. WB’s green catalog features 2,500 environmentally friendly items, including office products, technology, furniture, janitorial, cleaning supplies and electronics.
“We are providing a variety of green options for our customers that enable them to construct a unique green solution that meets their specific company objectives” said Nick Schmidt, WB Mason Branch Manager. “The goal for WB Mason is to aggressively partner with manufactures that can provide green products with very competitive cost points; this insures our customers can initiate green initiatives without experiencing a tremendous financial impact”.
Specifically, WB Mason now carries a full line of cleaning products from Seventh Generation, a company whose mission is to ensure that the natural resources used in their products are renewed at a higher rate than which they are consumed. WB’s website, which features a green tab highlighting where to find eco-friendly items, offers more than 5,000 green products. They are categorized by recycled content or green characteristics, such as energy efficiency, reusable capabilities or biodegradable and non-toxic ingredients. On the operational side of business, WB Mason is exploring a delivery strategy that helps to reduce wasteful packaging. The company is testing a pilot program that would replace cardboard boxes with reusable totes. It is also researching the addition of hybrid vehicles to its fleet. Back to the e-newsletter |
